Collaborative Design with New Interface Technologies, Competition, 2000 | ||||||||
The task for teams of architecture students was to design a abstract spatial composition during a two-hour session using a computer-mediated design interface. Using tangible physical objects, Build-it allowed participants to transform and build on each others' insights and contributions in a virtual world, exploring new mediations for group negotiation and fostering a collective understanding of the design process.
